What the filter kit protects
The filter set includes 2 filters:
- Exhaust filter - G4 (Coarse 60%) - for MVHR protection
- Supply filter - G4 (Coarse 60%) - for internal air protection
This filter set complies with the ISO 16890 standard for particle filtration efficiency.
G4 filters trap up to 60% of large airborne particles larger than 10 microns, such as soil particles, large pollen, plant debris, insect wings, sawdust, sand and textile lint. One filters the air exhausted from your indoor space and protects your MVHR unit; the other purifies the outdoor air that is brought into your home, improving indoor air quality and protecting your health. This helps to reduce visible dust levels, lowers energy consumption, ensures quiet operation and extends the life of the system.
Use and maintenance
Zehnder recommends changing the filters every 6 months to ensure optimal air quality and system performance.
However, the frequency of changes may vary depending on factors such as:
- Air pollution levels (e.g. urban and rural areas)
- Allergies or respiratory sensitivities
- Pets or smoking
- Dust from nearby construction sites
If your system has a filter change indicator, follow its warnings. Otherwise, visually inspect the filters - if they look very dirty or clogged, it's time to replace them.

This filter kit is part of our carefully designed private label, manufactured in the European Union by our trusted partners who meet our strict quality standards. We work closely with each manufacturing partner and carry out our own quality control checks to ensure that each filter delivers reliable performance and consistent quality.
The filters are made using Z-Pleat technology, which significantly increases the surface area of the filter by folding the material into multiple pleats. This pleated design not only improves particle retention, but also reduces air resistance in the system, helping your MVHR unit run more efficiently.
